Celebrating the Harvest of Learning: Sama-Bajau Learners’ Recognition Day

The past school year has been a journey of growth and achievement for the Sama-Bajau children, made possible through the collective efforts of Cartwheel’s sponsors, partners, and community. Working hand in hand not only helps the children grow and thrive but also empowers them to embrace new experiences with confidence and hope.

The generous support Cartwheel received made a significant impact on the Sama-Bajau children for the School Year 2023-2024, leading to new milestones in their education journey. The children of the Angiskul Ma Bangka (AMB) Child Development Center in Zamboanga City and the Sama-Bajau Activity Center in Parañaque City reaped the fruits of their hard work during their Recognition Days, marking their completion of the Early Childhood Development (ECD) Program.

Access to education remains a significant challenge for many indigenous children, so every child that moves up is a significant step towards bridging the educational gap. Cartwheel is grateful for everyone’s involvement and continued support in providing culturally relevant education for young Indigenous Peoples (IP) learners!

May the harvest of good learning continue for every IP learner in the years ahead!
