On the weekend of July 4-6, 2014, Cartwheel Team members Pia Ortiz-Luis and Rainey Sarmiento visited Mintal, Davao City to join Cartwheel’s dynamic and hardworking Young Indigenous Peoples (IP) Leaders and their fellow grantees at the Pamulaan Center for Indigenous Peoples Education, during their team building workshop.
As one of the school’s founding partners, Cartwheel aims to provide support not only through financial aid but more importantly, by strengthening the formation of these future community leaders.
Below are some highlights from the workshop.
Mr. Ben Abadiano, Founder and President of Pamulaan Center, facilitates a group dynamics activity in their campus amphitheater
United even in movement, the Pamulaan community unwinds with dancing after their Kapihan session in the evening.
Cartwheel grantee Famela “Fame” Magunot shares about what she feels after the workshop as other grantees listen and look on.
