Cultures in Harmony USA collaborates with CFI for workshops and concert

This August 2014, Cultures in Harmony (CiH) musicians from the United States will be coming to the Philippines to partner with Cartwheel Foundation, Inc. (CFI) yet again, building on the legacy of a strong partnership dating back to 2006.

A series of learning exchange workshops between CiH and Tagbanua musicians will be facilitated from August 13-17 in the island communities of Culion, Palawan. CiH aims to support CFI’s post-Typhoon Yolanda healing and recovery efforts for the Tagbanua by helping them find strength in the richness of their own traditional music and cultural life ways.

This will culminate with an advocacy concert in Manila on August 21 at the Ayala Museum entitled “Cultures in Harmony: Building Structures of Hope with Filipino Indigenous Communities,” in celebration of CFI’s 15th year anniversary. Aside from the visiting CiH musicians, the concert will feature esteemed local musicians from Manila Symphony Orchestra.

Join us in building hope through music!
