Cartwheel holds Community-Based Psychosocial Support Training in Culion, Palawan

On May 5-9, 2014, concerned teachers, barangay officials, catechists and community workers of Culion convened for the trainor’s training workshop entitled “Promoting A Community-Based Psychosocial Support For Disaster Survivors,” as part of ongoing recovery efforts after Typhoon Yolanda. Together, the participants shared stories of courage and hope, honed their skills as psychosocial support volunteers, and pledged to continue building community by building people.

Our sincerest appreciation goes to Gina Alfonso and Dr. Carmen “Titay” La Vina for sharing their expertise and aspirations with the Cartwheel team, thus, making this workshop possible. Special thanks also go to Fr. Errol Nebrao, SJ and Fr. Bogs Tapiador, SJ for their all-out support of this endeavor!
